Reflection Paper on To the Filipino Youth

In the second activity, the choice was not ours - instead, Mr. Alvarez gave us To the Filipino Youth by Dr. Jose Rizal. As we read and discussed it, we explored where the seven hallmarks could be found within its lines, and in doing so, we felt Rizal's message reaching straight to our generation. We were inspired by his call for the youth to rise and to use our talents for the betterment of the country. It was more than just a literary analysis; it felt like a personal letter from the past, urging us to act in the present. In the end, we saw that literature doesn't just reflect life - it can awaken something in us, something we want to carry forward as part of today's generation.
